I have ran 17 marathons.  Utah Grand Slam 2003, PR's Spectrum 10k 2008 39:08 (1st overall F),HobbleCreek 1/2 2008 1:24:18 , SGM 2007 3:11:05

Short-Term Running Goals:

 Run a sub three marathon!!!!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep improving on my running and race times but at the same time be able to keep it very enjoyable!

Personal:

Married for 4 years to a very supportive husband who very often will get up at 4am on sat. mornings to drive my running friends and I out  for our long runs so we do not have to park a car!Work as a dental hygienist in SG, UT.

Had a very fun run with Peg, Heidi, Cheri, and Jody. Ran our usual 10 mi route and then Jody and I added on 2.5 min route loop. I keep feeling better and better so hopefully I am getting close to feeling back to my old running self and motivation. Only slight tuggin in lower ab last couple mi. SteveH showed me some stretches to help me and hopefully it will continue to feel better and better.

Ran 8.5 with Cheri and then was feeling good so added on, didnt know how far the loop would be but ended up being 2.5 miles. Did some some stretching after at home.

Ran with Cheri today. Much colder this morning but so glad I am not where it is snowing. It looks so cold on the news. I wanted to stay curled up in my warm bed but forced myself to go brave the cold and as always so glad I did.

Ran with Cheri on our normal route. We just took it pretty easy and enjoyed the run. I must say its nice to be running with no pressure of training for anything. Still feel my lower ab towards the end of the run. For that reason I am not going to run the half tomorrow , its just not worth it to me to have it get worse at this point and I am just not in the mood to race. This past year was I raced so much and was so aggressive in training that I am flat race burned out. I have tried to tell myself  "i can just go run it and not really race it" but we all know that it wouldnt happen and I would end up racing it and taking the risk of turning the strain into something more. So I will just be taking it easy with the girls tomorrow.

Had a nice easy run with Peg, Heidi and Cheri. Was kinda sad I didnt run the half because I had lots of friends running and I love race atmosphere but was glad I didnt at the same time. Nice to have no pressure!!!! and plus my ab started to tug half way through and so I know I made the right decision in not racing.

Nice run around the neighborhood. Legs are pretty sore, I hadnt done squats or lunges since before the marathon and did them over the weekend and now I feel like I ran a marathon. SO SORE!

Ran with cheri through town on the the trails. Had a great run and wow did anyone else see the moon this morning? It reminded me of a Halloween moon, it was pretty cool looking.

Ran on own and then with Peg and Heidi. So happy that I have been motivated to get up earlier on tues and thurs to get some extra miles in. Just wish I could do some speed, my legs are aching for it but anytime I start to push to hard  I feel it in my ab/groin earlier in the run and  so a couple more easy mile weeks before I attempt anything faster.

My friend was not feeling well this morning so I reset the alarm and didnt head out to run til 7. Nice to have an extra 2 hours to sleep but I would rather be running with somebody though too! Did one of my old routes that I have not done for awhile, starts out uphill for 2 miles and then the last mile is a good uphill as well. Kinda took it out of me today but just glad to have the miles in.

Ran an easy ten with Peg and Heidi and then felt good so added on a extra two miles around the neighborhood. Hit 60 miles this week and felt good doing it, all easy miles but so glad to be in the 60's again.

Woke up too early for a friday and met Cheri to run ( I will take early over running bymyself in the cold). Felt good so added on a couple miles after. Hurried home to get in a warm shower. We run on the trails by the virgin river and its nice in the summer because its a little cooler down there but we may have to swtich up our routes  for winter because it gets too cold down there. My legs went totally numb today.
