Another great run with Mike W, did another route with some good incline. Again put half on easy and half on marathon pace, another in betweener. Wind was blowing to start but died down fairly early on into our run. Legs were a little tired to start but felt much better the second half. Had a good conversation about goals for Ogden! Going to take it very easy on tomorrow and fridays run.

avg pace 7:30 (I think thats what mike said it was, I stopped my garmin half way and never started it again.)

Good job! When is the Ogden marathon? It's always fun to have you come up our way. You are going to do awesome on Saturday - wish we were there to cheer you on!!!

Curious, what are you and Mike's goals for Ogden? I know it might be too early to tell, or maybe it is bad luck to share goals. Just wondering as I am trying to get in shape to place in the top three in my division at Ogden.

I really dont know for sure, I was just thinking that if I could PR on that course then SG I could have in the bag for a sub3. FOr me its too early, now that I have someone that will do some serious speedwork with me, I am going to start hitting it hard, I think I will have more of an idea in mind by mid march.

Ogden is May 17 and is a great race. The HM is a great race as well. Lots of FRB folks will be there so the pre-race party should be HUGE!

Thanks Jeff, I did Ogden in 2003 and loved it, What is HM?

Its the half marathon. If you did the half before Ogden, it would reacquaint you with the race, and you might be able to get a comp entry. The race itself would be a great workout and then refamiliarizing yourself with the course would help you. I think you can PR on that course, especially if you do tempos once a week from now on. I look forward to meeting you Friday and running with you Saturday!

Michelle

Isnt the half marathon the same day as the marathon?

I look forward to meeting and running with you too!
