I was going to add on after running 5 with one of my running pals but the time got changed early morning (and then I didnt have time to add after) and I just could not bring myself to get up beforehand and go out in the dark and cold and runs laps around my neighborhood. So I will try to get out tonight after cub scouts and finish 'er up.

Are you a cub scout leader? Too cute! I have a webelo so I can appreciate that!

Marci, I just wonder, you do tons of miles daily, weekly ect. Do you have any problems with past injuries or pain that ever slow you down? You never mention it, and I'm wondering how you do it? (mostly I'm jealous!!)

I'm excited that you have scouts today! You are going to get some great laughs working with those boys. How did your football party go last night? Ours was pretty pathetic.

Way to stay safe! Thanks for the pep talk last night! Have a great day!!

Christi,

Yes I just got put in as the asst. wolf leader, big change for me since I just got released from a counselot in YWs.

Andee,

Wow cub scouts....they are some crazy boys that really like to talk about "monkeys". very short attention span! We had a pathetic FB party. Garrett was kind of in a bad mood from earlier in the day so he didnt want to go anywhere.

Jody

It was so fun to talk to you! and thank you!

Michelle

I am pretty darn fortunate, I have not had a serious injury that put me out from running for about 5 years now (knock on wood). My hip gets torked every once in awhile and when I feel that coming I got to the chiro and I am as good as gold. I went through a period of about 3 years where I had injury after injury (2 stress fractures, really bad posttibular tendonitis and hip issues). I had to take alot of time off and cross train a ton. No matter what injury I was always working out daily by elipitical, spinning, pool running, ect... I have custom orthotics and those have honestly been my saving grace with good shoes! I have really learned to listen to my body and if I feel I need a day off I take it, missing one day is not the end of the world for training. I have missed several days of training over the past years and have only improved! I biggest piece of advice is listen to your body but at the same time dont dwell on the little aches and pains they usually just go away.

Cub Scouts, Cool! They do have short attention spans and it dosn't get much better as they grow up. I was in the Young Mens presidency for 4 years, over the Deacons. It's alot of work, but you will have some awesome times with the boy's, it's well worth it. Marcie, good job getting your run in today. I have also been struggling just a little to get it done. I think my body & mind are saying, what the heck is going on here. Hang in there, think how awesome it will be when summer comes and you are already in great shape!
