Its really Tues June 9 when I am actually posting this post.

SUPRISE....... Little Taylor Michael Jacobsen decided he just couldnt wait to be here and arrived 5 weeks early. He weighed in at 5 lb 9 oz and 19 inches long (thanks to an enormous cone head-so maybe really 17-18 in long).  He in the NICU right now and will be probably til next week. He is doing really well  but did have a little setback today with his bilirubin count and will have to be under the lights for a couple days and then go back to working on feeding. He required some help to breath at first but quickly did not need that anymore. I am doing and feeling really good. Sheesh my delivery was a piece of cake, I guess staying active really does make you have a fast delivery. The nurses and dr were shocked how fast I went. My water broke Sat morning at 6. Got to hospitial at 7 ( not feeling contractions yet) at 8 got ck'd and started to feel some cramping (+2) , got to my room at 9 and started to feel  harder contractions(+3) got my epidural at 10:30-11:00 (+6) 12:30 (8) and then at 1:15 I started to feel like I needed to push, nurse came back at 1:40 and ck'd and said you are having this baby right now! In about 5 min called and got the dr and the NICU team, pushed through 3 rounds of contractions and he was born at 2:05. I am moving around great and really have had no after pain. Let me just tell you how AMAZING the all staff is at DRMC in the L&D, NICU and mom/baby unit and Dr/ Lunt . For having a pre-term baby and expecting the worse tthey  calmed me down and have been nothing but PHENOMONAL. They have an amazing team down here! I feel so blessed to have my family in their care. I will keep ya posted on Taylor.

Congratulations! You are a mom now! I don't envy you the sleep issues but I do envy the little bundle. I hope you can bring him home soon.
