Jody is in town so she met me over at my house and we ran 3 mi down to the swiss days 5k start and ran some faster paced miles. Felt better than I did last week on it. I missed one of the turns and then ran up a wrong road and back down and then ran too far down and then had to turn around (sorry Jody!) I lost my momentum there, got going again and finished up feeling pretty strong. I defintely push myself harder when there is someone in front of me that I am trying to catch. 5k ended up being a little long today:) 6:45, 7:12 (this is where I missed the turn and stopped trying to figure out where I was) 6:45 and and 6:45 for last 1/2 mi. Then we ran easy home and then I added on another 3 mi around my house. Nice to get some fast miles in but I still feel so out of shape! Some tugging/pulling in lower ab last 4 miles. |
