Met Mike, Bruce and the Wildbull at the Running store this morning. I had a very rough start getting going. Super fatigued and felt like my legs were full of lead. I have had a bad sore throat for over a week now and I dont know if that is making me so stinkin tired lately. Bill dragged me along to add three more so I could get 10 in today. So nice to have people to run with!

avg pace 7:36 (1:19)

Hey Marcie, just a reminder to keep your easy runs easy! I would think you would have next to no miles in the 7 minute range. I would think your easy runs should be in the low 8 min range and marathon pace around 7 flat, and threshold faster than that. I know you wrote up a little while ago that you were going to focus on differentiating more between easy and hard, but it looks like this morning you were right in between. Perhaps that was why you were tired?

Hope you get feeling better - mine is finally going away. Take care of yourself.

Thanks Bill for the run today! You are in amazing shape right now!

Jody-I am glad yours is gone-my ear is starting to hurt though now, never ending is it?

Michelle

Tues, thurs and fridays I keep it in the 8's. I decided to stick with what works for me and I dont like doing just easy and hard days. It doesnt work for me. I like the inbetweener runs. Mondays I want to run a mod(med) pace and wed are now going to be my tempo days and sat will be easy to mod and sometimes some tempo. I really think I was tired because my ear/throat thing and my legs feel heavy right now because my quad is so tight. (I get deep tissue again this week.)

Nice job getting out there! I found this recipe on the internet It is made by adding one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, a tiny pinch of cayenne pepper, the juice of 1/4 lemon, and one teaspoon of honey to a cup of hot water. Stir. I had a horrible sore throat and this remedy worked for me. It tastes extremely nasty but my sore throat was gone. Hope this helps.

THanks Linda- I will have to try that. I am going to the dr today because I am getting shooting ear pain when I swallow now.
