Ran 7 with my gal pals and then added the rest on by my lonesome, it was one of those days where I needed someone for the whole time. Some days I dont mind being on my own, in fact its good to be able to clear your mind but today I was struggling mentally and just needed someone those last 8 miles to pass the time. My leg felt good so that was a plus but still dont feel like I can pick up the pace and take off, still some restriction/resistance present. I dont think I will be doing Ogden or Striders1/2.

Good job on the miles - It's kinda funny that I was feeling the same way you were on my run - we should've gone together!

From Christi on Sat, Feb 23, 2008 at 13:26:00

Sorry to hear the leg is still giving you trouble. Still you sound lots better than a week or 2 ago. Keep at it, I think its coming around!

I hope I can keep up with you next week! I am getting use to this life of leisure. I think you still have time to get ready for Ogden. It will get alot easier on those legs as it warms up.

Wish we had been together today. I was thinking the same thing at the 15K. "some one come pace me, please!!" Great job getting it done! Have a good weekend!

Boo hoo I am sad you are not going to do those races.

From MichelleL on Sun, Feb 24, 2008 at 01:13:28

I don't like to run that long on my own either. You could do those races as work outs. I will be doing the 1/2 marathon that Ogden has on the same day as its marathon, you could consider doing the 1/2. Nice long tempo run :)

Hey Marcie- question for ya- I want to order a blue FRB jacket, but the store is out of smaller sizes. So I'm going to have Steve order one for me. What size did you get? I figure we are close to same size (although you are thinner- jealous!) I'm not sure if I should order Small or X-Small? Thanks!

From MarcieJ on Sun, Feb 24, 2008 at 10:59:18

Ruthie-I know, I dont why I did not think of that, and I am sad I will be in Moab for your first meet, bummer!

Christi,

I would probably go with a small, its fits be great except the waitstband (bottam of the jacket) is a little snug so I rides up a little.

Mike- You will have no problem keeping up! I am a slug lately.

Josse-me too!

Mcihelle-

More than not feeling ready I really dont want to spend the money for the entry fee and driving up there. There are some other things my husband and I have planned and all our vacations cant be at a race:) (although I wouldnt mind that) . I need to take awhile and not stress about time and miles so I can get my leg fully back to 100% , if I have a big race and want to do well its so hard to back off and then I get incredibly frustrated. I am not ruling them out for sure but right now its really up in the air.

JOdy-sorry I hit submit before I commented back to you. You rocked in the 15k! I cant wait til you guys come down again in March. It will be so much fun!

From Ruthie on Sun, Feb 24, 2008 at 20:08:49

Not a problem - there are LOTS of them. ;)

Ruth-

Do you ever run in the mornings during the week? or is all training done after school?
