Whew! ! My legs were definetley feeling last nights run. Slept in a little and took it very easy today. I put my ipod on low and just let my mind roam and think about alot of things. I thought about how much I love life lifes little pleasures and  what one person may find enjoyable is so different  from what  another finds enjoyable. Isnt it so great that we are not all the same and are driven by different things. Our reasons to run are probably all so different from one anothers!  Everyone have a great FRIDAY!

Great job on your run yesterday! (And today!) Very impressive indeed. Painter's should fear YOU, not the other way around.

Thanks for your input on that stupid endless debate with Sasha about diet. You never know what people have gone through when you see them on the other side. I had a similar issue in High School. I tried to eat as healthy as I could, and at the time I thought that meant that I should cut out ALL fat. So no meat, dairy products, nuts or anything like that. No bread even. Luckily I didn't get in too deep before one of my dear friends who had struggled with anorexia took me under her wing and helped me avoid a lot of difficulty later. Then I took a nutrition class in college and just loved it. There are a lot of misconceptions out there! Anyway, happy Friday to YOU!

Thanks Lybi,

My whole experience has helped me view food and diet in a whole different way.It has taken me several years to get to where I can eat "normal" and not be scared of food.I am totally into healthy eating (ask my husband, he gets a little frustrated cuz sometimes he just wants to have a little "junk" :),but I know if I go to extreme you can create issues. Running and diet is very important to me and that will never change but I have learned that they are not most important things in my life. I had to learn that the hard way. I strained alot of relationships because that was my priority.I never want to be in place where I cant go out to eat with family and friends, or not enjoy the holiday food!. We are all so different so its so hard because we all have different views. I just know what what works best for me and my family and that what matters!

(BTW I actually went to weight watchers in high school to help me learn how I could balance my diet and still feel like I was in control. It helped!)

I hadn't read the entire commentary on the New York race, until just recently. I found that to be a pretty good post with a lot of humor. Like I told you yesterday I look forward to the trip and the experience sometimes more than the race itself. When I ran Boston my extended family wanted to know about my time and place, but they were more interested when I started telling stories about the whole trip.

I agree with Sasha there isn't much that compares to spending time with your children, and I'm sure you'll have plenty of years for that.

But like you said you're going with your mom and other family members so I would just enjoy the time with the family you have right now.

As far as cost. There are many places and experiences I would have never had in my life, had I or my parents chosen to stay home in Colorado (growing up) or here in Utah (at this point in my life) trying to save a penny or two.

I've pretty much visited every state in the U.S., been to Canada a few times, Mexico once. We weren't rich by any means, but my dad always found a way to take us some place new and awesome.

Anyway, sorry kind of went off there.

Summary- Do New York if that is your desire!

Thanks Dustin,

I am excited to have a girls trip with mom and sister (if all works out accordingly) and cost.. If I could not afford it I would not go.

Thank you for your support!

Sounds like a wonderful run for you this morning. Thanks for your post and great idea, it makes me feel good to know that you guys would want us to come down. I think we were a little much at Christmas. Our Old Navy is having a huge sale today, so I just got home from shopping and it is snowing - so pretty. They boys say hi!!
