Easy run with good friends, plan on going with the running club tonight to get some more miles in. Running late this morning so will type more later after tonights run.

avg pace 8:14

What a great run I had tonight with the club! I ran up from my house 1.5 mi to the store(had to start out uphill and a little faster to make it in time but I wanted a warmup before I started out with the speedsters. There are alot of fun people there. I have been worried about Painters, just because I have upped my mileage and really have done much in the speed work department. But tonight I realized that although I may not being getting a PR (which I have never planned on at all)  I think I will be able to do ok in this run. When I am running with people that are pushing the pace, I do okay keeping up. Tonight reminded me kinda of a race in the aspect of it was me and all guys andI did not want them to think I was a wimp so I held on, in the race its the same thing, when there are others  around me I kick into a different gear and my mental takes over my physical and I can hang on to others around me. So tonights run did me mentally good (as well as physical). I started out with Steve, Dustin, Dave, Bill and Mike and then stayed with Dustin for a little and then Mike for a little and  then turned off early and ran home, ending up with 9 mi.

7:13, 7:22, 7:15, 6:49, 6:58, 6:52, 6:43 , had a mile warmup from the store and a mile cool down. (I think a couple of those would have been faster if Dustin and Dave  didnt have me laughing so hard that I could bearly run!!!)

Sorry to hear about your grandma - I hope she's doing okay. I didn't know that my dad was being sworn in last night - they forget to tell us some of the minor details of life. I will have to call him today. Have a good day at work and a fun run with the club tonight.

I am glad you had a good run w/ the club. Great splits!! You will do fantastic at Painters.

Hey, awesome run tonight! I think I do a similar thing when I run with those guys, too. It's fun to feel all fast and easy with them even though they aren't working really hard at that pace. Great times on your run, I'm looking forward to running with you next week at the club run and at the RACE! :)

Hey, good job! wait to show us guy's how it's done. You had some fast miles and were still able to talk, no problem. Your dedication is paying off!

You are an amazing mentally tough chic!! I have attempted to run with those guys before- they are FAST and so are YOU! Can't wait to see your Painter's time. Even if its not a PR for you, it will blow my socks off!

All of us were amazed at how well you did last night - not that we shouldn't have expected it, your training has been going so well. Nice job.

From Dustin on Fri, Jan 11, 2008 at 09:53:38

Good job last night. Bill and I were glad when we turned around so we could slow down, we were struggling to keep up with you.
