Had a fanstastic run today with the exception of some stomach issues. Tried to add in as many hills as possible since the half next week is pretty rollie. Had some good paced miles in with a 7:09, 6:58, 6:59, 7:03. Ran a huge hill with a very steep grade that was about quarter of mile if not more. I think I will use it to start training for wasatch back. Last year I did the "ragnar" leg which is 4 miles up very steep switchbacks on a dirt road.They talked about me running it again this year but I am not sure yet if I am. The hill today would help me get a little prepared if I am to run it and if not it would help me on some of the other good climbs in that race. Avg pace 7:29 and my legs felt pretty good. Foot was a little achy when I woke up but not on the run at all. I think I will go to April after the race next weekend. |
