55 min elipitcal at gym, OB dr wanted me to try physical therapy that specialize in womens health issues. So went and tried and dont think I will go back. She thinks its my piriformis muscle that spasmd and is pinching some nerves.  Who knows, all I know is that it really really hurts and has not let up hardly at all. It is the sharpest pain with every step, getting up and down and any sudden rotation. I am embarrassed to go anywhere because I know people are thinking I must be in labor with the way I walk.

Thank goodness for the elipitcal although I hate it, but it is helping keep me sane....somewhat.

did some weights upperbody

That doesn't sound good. Where exactly is the pain? My sports dr. thought it might be my piriformis pinching my sciatic before my MRI, I hope you don't have what I have (SI stress reaction). My pain was so sharp with every step, and was worse for me doing the elliptical (not while I was on it but afterward it would flare up), crutches had me pain free within days, though I don't wish that on you.

I hope I dont have what you have! Did you have any symptoms before the sharp pain started? I felt great on my run (never ever had an ache or pain on ly left hip) and then my leg just locked /seized up up shortly after, it feels alot like muscles and nerves but who knows.

I may have to call and talk to you about it though.

It doesn't sound the same, thankfully. At least the elliptical isn't hurting you, that is great. What's the plan for next week, regarding doctors and figuring out how to get you back on the road?

Oh good..yah I am pretty sure mine is all pregnancy related. My mom says I am carrying alot in my back. For next week I think I am just going to take it easy, do the eliptical and stay off it as much as I can after work. Today it actally feels the best it has felt (lots of rest but not runnable by anymeans though). Even if it starts feeling where I could run I dont know how much I would do at this point. More walking and cross training for the next 2 months for me. Not what I want but what do you do?

Yeah, the hard thing about pregnancy is if you stop running for a couple of days it can be difficult/dangerous to start up again, though you are in great shape still so if you felt golden I would start up again.

I got some contractions at 32 weeks on my first pregnancy, which we thought were dehydration-induced, so I stopped running for a couple of days then had to walk after that. It was a bummer.

The next pregnancy I made it to 36 weeks, the third I made it jogging (waddling quickly) all the way, though it was only 2.5 miles or so by that point.

You have done awesome and will continue to be dedicated and will snap back after your pregnancy just fine. Perhaps we'll be up and running at the same time :/
